Taicang German Technician Training Center (DAWT)
You will find that the conditions are in place for first-class training. Modern trainee workshops, progressive working technology and highly motivated instructors, foremen and other colleagues from whom you can learn a great deal. We encourage you to work independently, even during your training. You will be trained in your job by dividing your time between practical experience and DAWT.
Signed in November 2001 by Chinese Prime Minister Mr. Zhu Rongji and German Chancellor Mr. Gerhard Schroeder at the Great Hall, the “Sino-German Second High-tech Forum for Dialogue” is a cooperation project between the Chinese and German Governments.
Dr. Hans-Jochem Steim, head of KERN-LIEBERS, located in Baden-Württemberg, Germany and the first German company in Taicang as well as the leadership of the Taicang Economy Development Area Initiative, establish a professional technician training center complete with the German dual studies system of vocational training to train professional technicians in accordance with the standards of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce. DAWT is currently run by KERN-LIEBERS, MUBEA, TEDA and the Taicang Vocational School tripartite.
The purpose of DAWT is to train our technicians as excellent manufacturing workers with technical expertise, methodological competence and social skills.
